Elderly Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on East Avenue [Turlock, CA]

Pedestrian Stuck and Killed by a Vehicle near North Rose Street

 
TURLOCK, CA (January 8, 2020) – An elderly woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on East Avenue on Wednesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near North Rose Street at approximately 6:00 PM. Reports from the Turlock Police Department showed that the 78-year-old victim was walking when she was struck by an unidentified vehicle.
 
An attending coroner proclaimed the woman dead at the scene. Her name was not released.
 
The driver of the vehicle stayed with the woman and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Investigators did not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the deadly crash.
