Elderly Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Highway 101 [Paso Robles, CA]

1 Dead in Paso Robles Auto Accident on Highway 101

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (July 7, 2020) – Saturday night, a 61-year-old Paso Robles man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 101.
 
The crash involving a Ford F-250 pickup happened just after 10:00 p.m. Also, it took place in the northbound lanes of Highway 101, north of Highway 154, near Buellton.
 
According to CHP, the driver made a sudden left turn. As a result, he lost control and overturned into the highway median.
 
Moreover, firefighters responded to the scene and extensively extricated the driver, said Capt. Daniel Bertucelli of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
 
Responders transported the injured through an AMR ambulance to the Santa Ynez Airport. Afterward, a county’s Copter 4 flew him to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
His identity remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, the authorities continue to investigate the fatal crash. Witnesses are urged to call the agency’s Buellton office at 805.688.5551.
