74-Year-Old Man Died in Collision on Highway 41 Near Oakhurst in Madera County
Madera County, CA (April 29, 2020)– A 74-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 41 near Oakhurst on Monday morning.
According to Madera County Coroner, the incident took place between Oakhurst and Coarsegold on April 27 around 9 a.m.
The now-deceased victim was identified as Alain Gerard Obregon, a 74-year-old man from Coarsegold.
According to CHP spokesman, the elderly man was near 41 and Calvin Lane. He was traveling northbound when he suddenly swerved his vehicle into the southbound lane. The elderly man then struck a dump truck that cost the life of Obregon.
Furthermore, Obregon’s wife who was in the car sustained minor injuries as well. Meanwhile, the truck driver did not sustain any injuries after the crash.
Moreover, the roadway closed off for a brief time, but it reopened by 1 p.m.
