Fatal Rollover Crash on 8 Freeway in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (May 12, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash Sunday night on 8 Freeway in El Cajon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
The crash took place around 6:20 p.m., on the westbound lanes of 8 Freeway at Las Bancas-Horsethief Road.
 
CHP officials said a red SUV was traveling westbound when it veered off the roadway. The vehicle was later found on its side and in a ditch.
 
Fire crews responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
