Bus Involved in Afternoon Collision on Olde Highway 80 in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA (January 10, 2019) – One person was injured following a three-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in El Cajon, CHP officials said.
The collision happened around 3:20 p.m. on Olde Highway 80, just East of Snow View Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a red vehicle, a white city bus and a black vehicle were involved, blocking the entire roadway. The driver of the black vehicle was trapped inside the car with a broken arm.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and took the patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but towing services were requested to remove the vehicles from the wreckage.
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. The events that led up to the collision remain under investigation.
