SDPD Investigates Bus-Pedestrian Collision on El Cajon Boulevard
San Diego, CA (February 18, 2023) On Friday evening, a 44-year-old woman was struck and injured in bus-pedestrian crash on El Cajon Boulevard.
SDPD says that the traffic collision happened in the westbound lanes of 3900 El Cajon Blvd. around 8:30 p.m.
Reports say that a 66-year-old male driver on a westbound MTS bus struck the woman walking northbound across the westbound lanes.
Paramedics say that the woman suffered an open fracture to her lower left leg.
Authorities say that impairment was not a factor in the crash. The San Diego Police Traffic Division is handling the investigation of the bus-pedestrian collision.
When driving, it is essential to follow all driving laws and the conditions of the road. If you see any vehicle or driver that looks dangerous, keep your distance. If you see a vehicle weaving in and out of the lanes, following too closely, or traveling at a higher rate of speed, move over a few lanes and get out of their way.
Drive defensively to ensure the safety of surrounding vehicles and to avoid incidents like the El Cajon Boulevard vehicle-pedestrian collision.
