Efren Gonzalez Injured in Fatal Car Accident on Linwood Avenue and Vincent Road [Stanislaus County, CA]

1 Dead and 1 Injured in Stanislaus County Car Accident on Linwood Avenue

 
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (August 2, 2019) – A man died while another sustained injuries in a car accident on Linwood Avenue on August 1.
 
The collision occurred just before 6:00 a.m. near West Linwood Avenue and North Vincent Road.
 
According to the CHP, a 62-year-old man driving a 1987 Toyota MR2 slowed down to turn onto Linwood Avenue. However, 20-year-olf Efren Ceballos Gonzalez from Delhi rear-ended the Toyota with a 2014 Lexus sedan. The 62-year-old man died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, officers revealed that Gonzalez traveled around 70-100 mph in a 55 mph zone.
 
Responders transported Gonzalez to the hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Police did not release any additional information regarding the accident at this time. However, authorities are investigating further.
