Efrain Hernandez and Alejo Jeronimo Moreno Killed in Crash on Highway 41 [Fresno, CA]

2 Dead in Accident on Highway 41 and Floral Avenue in Fresno

Fresno, CA (January 21, 2022) – On Friday, Efrain Hernandez and Alejo Jeronimo Moreno died in a crash on Highway 41 and Floral Avenue.

The fatal crash in Fresno happened at around  8:30 a.m. on January 21.

CHP said the collision involved a pickup and a minivan. The minivan was making a left turn and did not see the northbound pickup and was broadsided in the intersection.

Visibility was limited to 150 to 200 feet due to fog.

CHP added that 5 of the 6 people in the van were not wearing seatbelts. 

A 34-year-old passenger from the van, Efrain Hernandez, died in the crash.

Then, a 25-year-old was critically injured when he was ejected from the van.

Moreover, the 33-year-old driver of the van, the 25-year-old passenger, and two others, 27 and 30-years-old, were all taken to CRMC with major injuries.

Meanwhile,  the 17-year old driver of the pickup and his 16-year-old passenger remained uninjured.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision.

Later reports reveal another passenger, 20-year-old Alejo Jeronimo Moreno, was also left dead following the Fresno crash.

Further investigation is ongoing.
