Two Hospitalized in DUI Crash on Mountain View Avenue Fresno
Fresno, CA (May 25, 2020) – Sunday evening, Police arrested Alvaro Roman, 31, of Fresno in a suspected DUI crash on Mountain View Avenue that left a 27-year-old Edwina Cervantes with injuries.
The crash occurred at 10:35 p.m. on May 24. Dispatched officers arrived and located two sprawled vehicles and a telephone pole blocking both lanes of Mountain Avenue.
According to reports, Roman collided into the rear of Cervantes’ Toyota, causing his Ford to veer to the right and hit with a telephone pole.
Moreover, the telephone pole blocks both lanes of Mountain View Avenue. Both drivers were transported to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
At this time, Roman is facing charges for felony DUI, causing injury and booked at Fresno County Jail.
Furthermore, Mountain View Avenue is closed between State Route 43 and Mitchell Avenue while the utility company completes repairs. The investigation is ongoing.
