Fatal Altadena Accident on State Route 2 Leaves Jonathan Salguero and Edwin Salguero Dead
Altadena, CA (July 30, 2021) – On Thursday, Edwin Salguero, 21, and Jonathan Salguero, 17, died in a State Route 2 crash.
The authorities responded to the Altadena accident scene at 1:50 a.m.
Indeed, it took place at the intersection with Milepost Marker 50, north of the Angeles National Forest.
Officers said an Acura sedan ran off the roadway and hit a tree, leaving the South El Monte passengers dead.
A Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed the identities of the victims. The driver of the sedan, another 21-year-old El Monte man, sustained major internal injuries.
Authorities say the driver lost control of the 2006 Acura RSX for unknown reasons. Also, no further details regarding the crash were available.
Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating this incident, and do not know whether alcohol or drugs factored into the fatal crash.
