10 Injured in DUI 4-Vehicle Crash at Manning and Zediker Avenue
FRESNO, CA (December 2, 2019) – A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a collision involving four vehicles Monday evening in Fresno County.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at Manning Avenue and Zediker Avenue.
According to the CHP, a 33-year-old Edwardo Alfaro De Arrellano of Reedley was driving at 80 to 90 mph when he rear-ended an Audi SUV. The impact sent the Audi into the opposing lane, causing another crash. A big rig also got involved in the accident.
Firefighters responded to the scene and found ten people, including four children, with injuries from the crash. Paramedics transported the patients to local hospitals for proper treatment.
Authorities later arrested De Arellano on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving without a license.
De Arellano bonded out of jail on Tuesday afternoon. Bail was set at $27,000.
Further investigation of this crash is underway.
