Edvin Raymundo Killed and 6 Hurt in Pacoima Accident on Laurel Canyon Boulevard
PACOIMA, CA (September 27, 2021) – Sunday night, Edvin Raymundo, 45, died in a multi-vehicle crash on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Van Nuys Boulevard.
According to authorities, the fatal accident happened at the 10400 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, near Van Nuys Boulevard.
Reports revealed that a maroon Dodge Charger and a white Toyota pickup truck collided for unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Charger to hit an apartment’s exterior cinderblock wall. The debris from the crash went flying into an apartment window.
Furthermore, responders transported the five occupants of the Charger, an adult male, and four juvenile passengers to a hospital. Two of the kids were in stable condition, though one sustained a broken bone. Moreover, the Charger driver and one of the juveniles were in unknown condition.
Shortly after, paramedics pronounced the Toyota driver, Pacioma man Edvin Raymundo, dead at the scene.
Also, an 11-year-old child asleep in the apartment at the time of the crash sustained a cut on the hand due to the debris.
Meanwhile, officials believe that a high speed played a role in the deadly Pacioma crash.
