Modesto Man Eduardo Quezada Killed, Neida Rivas-Ramirez Uninjured in Suspected DUI Crash
Keyes, CA (September 28, 2020) – On Friday, Eduardo Quezada and another driver died, while 21-year-old Neida Rivas-Ramirez of Modesto, was uninjured in a three-vehicle crash on Crows Landing Road.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:30 p.m., west of Keyes.
25-year-old Modesto man Eduardo Quezada was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. He was traveling northbound on Crows Landing Road. At the same time, a person driving a 2010 Lexus IS 250 C sedan was approaching southbound.
Additionally, a 2008 Suzuki Vitara compact SUV driven by Rivas-Ramirez was behind the Lexus.
For reasons still unknown, the Silverado turned right. It’s right-side tires left the roadway, said CHP.
Eduardo Quezada then turned left. It drove back into the southbound lane of the road and directly into the path of the Lexus.
As a result, the vehicles crashed head-on. The Lexus was pushed off the west side of the road and caught fire.
Moreover, the authorities pronounced the Lexus driver dead at the scene. Police withheld the driver’s details pending the family’s notification.
Meanwhile, the Silverado stayed on the southbound lane, where the front end of the Suzuki struck its left side.
Rescuers rushed the Silverado driver to Memorial Medical Center, but Quezada nevertheless died from his injuries.
According to the CHP, Rivas-Ramirez was the only one of the three drivers wearing a seat belt. She did not sustain any injuries.
Additionally, the CHP said alcohol and/or drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

What’s Next after a Fatal Crash
“Insurance companies will try to save money, even if it means not fully compensating a family for the wrongful death of a loved one. When a family retains an attorney immediately, it gives them time to grieve and heal, while their attorney works to build a strong case and hold the negligent party accountable,” says Tyler Toomey, a practicing attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
