5 People Dead in Fort Worth Auto Accident on Interstate 35W near Seminary Drive

FORT WORTH, TX (August 20, 2024) – Early Monday, authorities arrested Eduardo Gonzalez after a brutal crash on Interstate 35W near Seminary Drive.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. on Interstate 35W near Seminary Drive.

According to the Fort Worth Police, a black Camaro that was traveling at a very high rate of speed rear-ended a sedan. Then, the sedan erupted into flames after the collision.

Authorities confirmed that five occupants of the sedan, including two children, were pronounced dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Camaro, identified as 19-year-old Gonzalez, to a hospital with serious injuries.

Officers arrested and booked Gonzales into Tarrant County jail for five counts of intoxication and manslaughter.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
