Eduardo Fierro Jr Dies after DUI Hit-And-Run Crash on 63rd Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (June 9, 2022) – Thursday, 28-year-old Eduardo Fierro Jr died, and one other person is now in critical condition after the DUI hit-and-run crash on 63rd Avenue and McDowell Road.

Reportedly, Fierro’s car had broken down, and he was apparently trying to push the car out of the way, along with a good Samaritan who came over to help when a truck hit them.

Fierro sustained fatal injuries and the other person is now in critical condition.

The truck driver fled the scene on foot and tried to report his vehicle as stolen. Police arrested the truck driver that same day.

Moreover, officers reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on him.

The family is now hoping that the person who helped Fierro survives.
