35-Year-Old Man in Coma and 1 Other Injured after Motorcycle Crash near Rowena Drive
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 4, 2018) – On Tuesday night, a motorcyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident on Glendale Boulevard. Edras Velasquez was put into a coma due to severe injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 9:00 PM near Rowena Drive.
35-year-old Edras Velasquez and his passenger, a young man, were on a motorized scooter heading south on Glendale Boulevard when they were rear-ended by a silver BMW. The vehicle fled the scene after the incident, leaving the two injured men in the road. It was last seen turning the corner onto Rowena Avenue after reversing in order to dislodge the ruined scooter.
Vasquez, a father of two children, was in grave condition with bleeding on the brain. On Wednesday nighy, doctors stated that he would not make it. His family must make the decision to take him off life support or not.
