Officers Search for Suspect Driver in I-281 Hit-and-Run Crash
San Antonio, TX (March 2, 2024) – 76-year-old Eden Nuval was killed following an Interstate 281 rollover crash Friday morning.
The deadly collision happened past 3 a.m. on the onramp connecting southbound I-281 281 to NW Loop 410.
Investigating officers said Nuval was driving a Hyundai Santa Cruz on the ramp when it was hit by a Ford Bronco traveling in the same direction.
As a result, the Santa Cruz crashed into a barrier and rolled over while the Bronco driver fled the scene. The Bronco later became fully engulfed in fire.
Right away, the medical team rushed Nuval to University Hospital but she was declared deceased before 4 a.m.
Moreover, another person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The authorities have not located the Bronco driver. Officers said the driver would be charged with failure to stop and render aid resulting in death once found.
