2 People Killed in Young County Auto Accident on First and Texas Street

YOUNG COUNTY, TX (February 28, 2024) – On Sunday, Eddric Laquinn Mickle and Kyris Deshone McGraw died in a horrific vehicle crash on First and Texas Street.

The incident happened at the intersection of First and Texas Street.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Juan Gutierrez, a southbound vehicle refused to pull over for a traffic stop, fled the scene at a high rate of speed, lost control, and collided with a tree.

Moreover, responders pronounced a passenger of the vehicle, identified as 46-year-old Kyris Deshone McGraw from Everman, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the vehicle, identified as 51-year-old Mickle from Seguin, to Graham Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that narcotics and a firearm were found inside the vehicle.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Young County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
