22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision near West 79th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 7, 2018) – A man was killed early Friday evening following a motorcycle accident near West 79th Street. The victim was later identified as 22-year-old Eddason Andrus of Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 5:45 PM on the 110 Freeway. Andrus was riding a Honda RC51 motorcycle at a high rate of speed when it lost control, veered right, and collided with the left rear of a Toyota Prius.
The impact ejected Andrus from the motorcycle, causing severe injuries. He was rushed to the UCLA Harbor Medical Center for treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, the victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors.
