Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 in Echo Park Turns Deadly
ECHO PARK, CA (November 20, 2018) – A man was killed following a pedestrian crash early Tuesday morning on Highway 101 in Echo Park, according to CBS2 and other media reports.
The fatal crash happened around 2:22 a.m. along the northbound lanes of Highway 101 at Glendale Boulevard.
The man was reportedly walking in the slow lane when he was struck by a black sedan. Los Angeles Fire Department officials responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures on the victim, but unsuccessful.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was declared dead.
A SigAlert was issued in the area and all traffic was being diverted. All lanes had been re-opened around 5:00 a.m.
