Ebodio Castro Injured, Star Baggett-Porter Arrested after Crash on Highway 101 [Santa Rosa, CA]

Ebodio Castro Hurt and 1 Arrested in Santa Rosa Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (July 10, 2020) – Early Thursday morning, Ebodio Castro suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 101.
 
31-year-old Star Baggett-Porter of Arizona drove her 2013 Chevrolet Impala north in the left lane of Highway 101. However, she later hit the rear of a 2014 Toyota Tacoma driven by 37-year-old Luis Orea Ortiz of Rohnert Park.
 
According to CHP Officer Marcus Hawkins, the incident occurred around 7:10 a.m. Due to the crash, Luis Ortiz lost control of his truck and crashed with another car, a 2003 Nissan Frontier.
Reports revealed that 40-year-old Ebodio Osorio Castro of Rohnert Park drove the Nissan.
 
The force of the collision led both vehicles to roll over. The Toyota then drove past the edge of the freeway and fell to an embankment. The vehicle landed on a dirt patch near Highway 101’s Third Street offramp next to a Santa Rosa Plaza parking structure.
 
Meanwhile, Star Baggett-Porter’s Chevrolet and Castro’s Nissan stayed on the freeway. According to some witnesses, the Chevy truck overturned and spilled roofing nails that had fallen across the lanes.
 

The Aftermath of the Santa Rosa Crash

 
Responders took Ebodio Castro to a hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, Luis Ortiz was uninjured.
 
The incident caused a major traffic stall until around 8:30 a.m.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities booked Baggett-Porter into the Sonoma County Jail on $100,000 bail.
