Earl Allen Dead in Fatal Citrus Heights Crash on Auburn Boulevard

 
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (October 25, 2020) – On Saturday morning, Earl Allen, 48, died, while two passengers suffered injuries in an accident on the 6600 block of Auburn Boulevard.
 
The Citrus Heights Police officers responded to an alleged single-vehicle DUI crash at 7:45 a.m. When they arrived, they found a vehicle that had hit a pole near Auburn Boulevard and Van Maren Lane.
 
According to the crash investigators, the driver, Mr. Allen, traveled the wrong way in traffic before the collision occurred.
 
The authorities found the driver dead behind the steering wheel. Meanwhile, the adult male and female passenger were transported to the hospital. Both of them suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Furthermore, the investigators revealed that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
 
Also, the authorities shut down the intersection for several hours during the investigation.
 
Before 1:00 p.m., the authorities reopened the intersection.
