Driver Injured in Tyler Fatal Vehicle Collision
Tyler, TX (April 22, 2023) – On Tuesday, Dylan Wade Taylor, 44, of Athens, and Glenn Eric Davisson, 60, of Thornton, were killed in a 3-vehicle collision on Highway 19.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Davisson failed to drive in a single lane while northbound on the freeway about one mile outside Athens. Apparently, Davisson traveled into the southbound lane and his Toyota Tundra struck the Infiniti G25 driven by Taylor, 44.
Afterward, a third vehicle also crashed into the Toyota and Infiniti.
Responding officers declared Davisson and Taylor dead at the scene while the paramedics transported the third driver to an Athens hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers said Taylor was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
