42-Year-Old Vancouver Man Dies in Accident on 10700 block of northeast Highway 99 in Hazel Dell
VANCOUVER, WA (February 8, 2018) – On Thursday morning around 6:07 AM, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident was reported on the 10700 block of northeast Highway 99 in Hazel Dell.
42-year-old Dylan Digiulio of Vancouver was lying on the road when emergency responders arrived at the crash site. Despite resuscitation efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to witness reports, Digiulio and another man were walking across the highway from Lyle’s Village Pantry, when he fell down in the road and was hit by a 2014 Ford Escape. The driver fled after the crash, leaving the injured man on the highway. Surveillance video from two businesses in the area confirm witness reports.
According to Sgt. Alex Schoening of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the 29-year-old man from Vancouver, Jeffrey A. Hill, called and turned himself in. He cooperated with authorities while investigation took place.
