19-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Two-Car Crash on Colo. 257

 
WINDSOR, CO (March 15, 2018) – A young man was hospitalized following a head-on collision on the 257 Highway, early Thursday morning.
 
Windsor Police received a call about a two-car crash at around 5 AM. One of the victims was identified as 19-year-old Dylan Crabtree, who was driving his Chevrolet Cavalier southbound on Colo. 257. His vehicle veered into the oncoming lanes and collided into a Jeep Cherokee that was heading north.
 
Crabtree was ejected from his vehicle and sustained multiple critical injuries and was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies for treatment. He was reported to have a broken femur, pelvis, humerus, and elbow, a ruptured spleen, and an avulsed hepatic artery. As stated on the GoFundMe page, the young man suffered a stroke that affected 65% of the left side of his brain. He continues to be in hospital care at this time.
 
The 23-year-old Cherokee driver’s injuries were evaluated and treated on the spot by emergency personnel.
 
The cause of the collision continues to be under investigation by authorities.
