Injuries Reported in Delano Hit-and-Run Accident on Woollomes Avenue
DELANO, CA (May 4, 2021) – On Thursday, two people sustained injuries in a hit-and-crash caused by suspect Dustin Drennen on Woollomes Avenue.
According to authorities, the incident started when officers found 32-year-old Dustin Drennen passed out outside his vehicle. The initial accident happened in a parking lot of a Walmart on Woollomes Avenue.
Reports revealed that after police and a firefighter attempted to wake up the suspect, 32-year-old Dustin Drennen rose. Then, he got into his car in a hurry. Afterward, he drove in reverse, fleeing the scene.
Furthermore, the suspect’s attempt to flee led the vehicle to strike the police officer and the firefighter.
Meanwhile, the firefighter tried to cling to the vehicle and was dragged through the parking lot.
Moreover, the suspect managed to got away and drove northbound on Highway 99.
Ultimately, authorities ask everyone with information about the hit and run to contact their local law enforcement agencies as soon as possible.
