El Cerrito, CA (April 22, 2021) – On April 13, 45-year-old Dustin Deason of La Mesa was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on 58th Street.
 
Deason on his Harley Davidson motorcycle was headed to his tax preparer. He was in the left lane, southbound on 58th Street near Trojan Avenue.
 
When at the same time, an oncoming white car swerved in front of Deason. He attempted to move to his right to avoid the vehicle, however, the vehicle continued driving and struck him.
 
Unfortunately, he was struck on his left side. The vehicle drove off as Deason took stock of his grisly injury.
 
He went into a state of panic or shock when he noticed that a portion of the foot was either severed or hanging.
 
Doctors were able to reattach his foot, but complications forced doctors to amputate his left leg at the calf.
 
Moreover, Deason, who worked in construction, now faces a long recovery. His loved ones are determined to find the suspect driver who injured him in the crash.
 
According to him, the white car that struck him may have been a Toyota Supra. Also, he believes the driver was male with a female passenger.
