40-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Crash near Ribbonwood Drive
ANZA, CA (April 4, 2018) – A Mira Loma man was killed in a collision involving a minivan and motorcycle, on Highway 74 near Ribbonwood Drive, early Wednesday evening.
Police officials were alerted about the crash shortly after 5:15 PM along Highway 74, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Dustin Blair, 40, was driving eastbound on a 2013 Harley Davidson while a 46-year-old man of Mountain Center was driving a Toyota Sienna westbound. Blair lost control of his motorcycle at a curve and veered into the opposite lanes and right into the Toyota’s path. Blair was ejected from the motorcycle as the vehicles collided near Ribbonwood.
Blair sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by CAL FIRE/ Riverside County Fire Department personnel.
Authorities closed down Highway 74, from the Visitor’s Center at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains, to Highway 371. The road was reopened Thursday morning after being closed for several hours following the collision. Investigators did not immediately confirm whether or not drugs and alcohol were involved in the fatal incident.
