Officers Arrested SUV Driver in Church Avenue Collision
Fresno County, CA (April 8, 2022) – On Thursday, a dump truck driver sustained fatal injuries in a Brawley Avenue DUI crash.
Officers responded to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection with Church Avenue.
A westbound SUV driven by a 22-year-old woman on Church Avenue was approaching the intersection at Brawley Avenue. At the same time, a southbound dump truck on Brawley Avenue was approaching Church Avenue.
The authorities said the SUV driver failed to stop for a stop sign. The driver struck the left side of the dump truck which veered into the front yard of a nearby home and slammed into a tree.
Unfortunately, the dump truck driver died in the incident.
Moreover, CHP said the SUV driver was under the influence of alcohol when the collision happened. They arrested her for DUI.
