2 Injured in Snohomish Car Accident on Highway 9
SNOHOMISH, WA (October 10, 2019) – A person required hospitalization after a dump truck and car accident on Highway 9 on October 8.
The incident blocked all lanes of Highway 9. The troopers and medics came to Highway 9 and Bickford Avenue around 1:30 p.m. after reports of a serious collision.
The collision caused the dump truck to overturn and land on its side. An occupant in the passenger car went to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries, Trooper Heather Axtman of the State Patrol said. Meanwhile, the truck driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Axtman added that the dump truck spilled its hauled soil and also leaked diesel fuel after the collision.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the car stopped in front of the dump truck, leading to a collision.
