Novato Police said an intoxicated driver struck two 15-year-olds riding mountain bikes, injuring them.

One teen sustained significant injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries and was released to a parent.

Additionally, the DUI driver collided head-on with a truck. These incidents occurred on Center Road, with the bicyclists being hit at Holstrom Circle and the truck collision occurring approximately 230 yards away at Laurie Drive.

After hitting the two boys on mountain bikes, the driver failed to stop. Three people, including a biker with significant injuries and two occupants of the Ford F-150 with minor injuries, were hospitalized. All individuals involved are expected to recover.

The driver was tested for impairment, arrested, and charged with felony hit-and-run causing injury and driving under the influence of prescribed medication.
