SUV Crashes into Back of Semi-Truck near Floriston Way
FLORISTON, CA (February 19, 2019) – A DUI driver was involved in a car crash on westbound 80 Freeway, Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 9:48 AM, just east of Floriston Way. Based on their report, there were two vehicles involved in the incident. A gray SUV had was reckless driving before it slammed into the back of a Sierra Pacific semi-truck. The driver of the vehicle was screaming and was suspected of being drunk at the time of incident.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They had not yet confirmed about any injury or complaint of pain from the involved motorists.
Both lanes were closed while a clearing operation was performed in the area. An investigation is ongoing to verify all initial information and to determine the cause of the commotion.
