Suspected DUI Crash on Floral Avenue Kills Robert Leeper [Selma, CA]

Selma, CA (September 26, 2024) On Friday evening, Robert Leeper was tragically killed in a suspected DUI crash on Floral Avenue.

According to Selma police, the tragic hit-and-run crash happened on September 20, just before 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Floral Avenue and Wright Street.

Reports say that Selma police discovered Leeper in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was quickly transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Roberto Ramos Cisneros, fled the scene after the crash.

However, police located and arrested Cisneros during their investigation. Cisneros, an employee of the City of Selma’s Public Works Department, was off-duty and driving his personal vehicle at the time of the crash.

Cisneros now faces multiple charges, including murder, DUI causing injury, and leaving the scene of an accident. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
