Hoa Duong Killed in I-90 Wrong-Way Collision
Grant County, WA (September 4, 2022) On Sunday, Duane Lamotte of Spokane and Hoa Duong of Medical Lake died in a 3-vehicle collision on Interstate 90.
Reports say that a wrong-way driver on I-90 collided with another car causing a fatal collision.
WSP says the wrong-way vehicle driving is westbound in the second eastbound lane, while 2 other vehicles, a truck and a car were eastbound on the first eastbound lane.
One vehicle slowed down for the wrong-way vehicle, while the car in front of the eastbound truck switched lanes to avoid collision with the truck.
Unfortunately, the wrong-way vehicle crashed with the car that changed lanes, the impact sent the car rolling towards the truck.
The 2nd car burst into flames and ended up in the eastbound embankment.
Authorities pronounced both drivers dead at the scene. Both Lamotte and Duong were driving the cars involved. The collision wrecked both vehicles.
Meanwhile, the occupants of the truck, Deborah Patton and Paula Pagel did not suffer injuries.
Authorities are investigating the incident, but they have not provided information at the moment.
