Drivers Transported in Highway 99 Collision [Madera County, CA]

Madera County, CA (August 13, 2024) – Drivers were injured following a Highway 99 collision Sunday night.

It was past 7:30 p.m. when the collision happened on the southbound freeway near Avenue 12.

Troopers said big rig driver made an unsafe lane change and collided with a pickup.

Both vehicles crashed into the temporary barrier in the construction zone.

Afterward, troopers said the vehicles crossed over into the southbound lanes of the highway.

Both drivers incurred minor injuries and were transported to Community Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile, traffic officers diverted traffic to Avenue 12 as they cleared the crash scene.
