Drivers and Passenger Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on East Ojai Avenue [Ojai, CA]

Ojai, CA (April 15, 2022) – On Thursday three drivers and a passenger sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on East Ojai Avenue.

Officers received the crash report at about 8:14 a.m. in the 1900 block area, also known as Highway 150, near the intersection with Boardman Road.

Officers say the head-on collision sent two vehicles into an embankment, wherein one of them overturned. Reports said that one of the vehicles involved in the crash was a flatbed tow truck.

Right away, the paramedics responded to the scene. They rescued two people from the vehicle that rolled over.

The paramedics rushed a 14-year-old victim to Ventura County Medical Center with critical but non-fatal injuries. The emergency team also took the other injured people to various hospitals with less significant injuries.

Moreover, officers said all the injured victims sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Officers closed Ojai Avenue between Gridley Road and Gorham Road until 3 p.m. 

The authorities are still investigating this incident.
