People Hospitalized in Kyburz Crash

Kyburz, CA (July 17, 2021) – On Tuesday, people were injured in Highway 50 head-on crash.

The traffic accident happened at approximately 7 a.m. west of Kyburz Drive.

A South Lake Tahoe man in an eastbound Toyota Camry crossed over the double yellow lines and into the path of an oncoming Toyota Tundra. There were two other Tahoe area residents inside the Tundra at that time.

Immediately, rescuers took the drivers and passenger to Marshall Hospital for treatment.

CHP investigators were unable to immediately identify why the Camry driver allowed the vehicle to drift into the opposing lane. Weather at the time of the Highway 50 head-on crash was clear.

The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions. If you are a driver, pay close attention to those around you. Always keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
