Drivers Killed in Speeding Crash on Canyon Road E [Pierce County, WA]

Pierce County Vehicle Crash Results in Fatality

Pierce County, WA (August 14, 2024) – Two drivers were killed in a speeding crash on Canyon Road past Wednesday midnight.

The fiery two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection with 160th Street.

Witnesses said the suspect vehicle was  traveling at 130 mph trying to race other cars south on Canyon Road. 

Suddenly, the speeding vehicle collided with a vehicle that was making a left turn at the intersection.

Both vehicles became completely engulfed in fire and both drivers were killed.

Troopers are investigating the collision.
