Drivers Injured in State Route 3 Vehicle Crash [Seattle, WA]

Seattle, WA (June 5, 2023) – Just before 8 p.m. on Friday, a 37-year-old Shelton woman and a 36-year-old Belfair man were injured in a State Route 3 vehicle crash.

The Belfair man was driving his Jeep Wrangler northbound on the freeway near Dawn Drive. At the same time, the Shelton woman was southbound in her Nissan Murano when the Wrangler crossed the center line and struck her vehicle.

The Wrangler rested in the northbound lane and the Murano ended up on the southbound shoulder. 

Both drivers sustained serious injuries and both vehicles were totaled. 

Immediately, the rescuers airlifted both drivers to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Luckily, a 2-year-old boy in the Murano did not sustain injuries from the collision. All were wearing their seatbelts.

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the State Route 3 vehicle crash.
