Deer Park Head-On Collision Sends Woman to Hospital

Deer Park, WA (July 10, 2023) – On Sunday, two drivers sustained injuries following a 2-vehicle collision on US 395.

Washington State Patrol said a car was southbound on the freeway near North Dalton Road while a semi-truck was northbound in the same area.

The authorities said the traffic in front of the car was beginning to slow down, and the car abruptly slowed down. The car lost control and crossed the center line hitting the big rig.

Both the car and big rig drivers sustained injuries in the collision. The woman driving the car was transported to the hospital.

Investigating officers said both drivers were wearing seatbelts during the accident. WSP says no drugs or alcohol were involved.

Big Rig Collision Results in Injuries

Specifically, thousands of people across the country suffer injuries in traffic accidents every year. Although it is common, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a traffic mishap like the collision on US 395.

Therefore, safety on the road should be the number one priority for anyone on it. Above all, it is better to be a proactive driver, rather than a reactive one. For this purpose, driving defensively prepares you for emergency situations.

Activities that take drivers’ attention off the road include using mobile phones, eating, and other distractions, which are major safety threats. Ultimately, avoid these activities at all costs when in the driver’s seat.

What Happens Following the Collision?

According to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year. It is therefore important to follow all the traffic laws to avoid these types of accidents.

“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.

Moreover, the most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash similar to the Deer Park head-on collision is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of a party.
