Head-On Collision Reported near 8th Avenue
SPANAWAY, WA (September 11, 2018) – A hit-and-run driver is wanted following a head-on crash on State Route 507, late Tuesday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place before 11:00 PM near 8th Avenue. Reports showed that a box truck failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of SR 507 and 8th. It traveling from the southbound lane into the northbound lane and struck a red Chevrolet Tracker head-on.
The driver fled the scene on foot; there is no description of the suspect or the vehicle involved. It was not yet clear if there were injuries sustained by the parties inside the Chevy. The highway was blocked in both directions while clearing and investigation took place.
No other information has been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues to locate the hit-and-run driver.
