Driver Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 Fresno
Fresno, CA (May 23, 2020)– Friday night, one unidentified driver sustained severe injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 99.
The crash occurred at around 11:30 p.m. on May 22. Dispatched officers arrived and located a fiery Mustang and a semi-truck on the scene.
According to reports, a Mustang slammed into the back of a semi-truck under unknown circumstances. The Mustang caught fire after the collision with the driver still inside.
Cars passing by stopped and drivers rescued the man inside. The Mustang driver’s injuries were severe including burns from the fire. Medics rushed him to the hospital for immediate treatment.
Investigators say he had been drinking and driving. His condition is unknown at this time.
