Driver and Passenger Injured in Vehicle Crash on Stearns Avenue [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (February 12, 2022) – On Wednesday, a driver and a passenger sustained injuries in vehicle crash on Stearns Avenue.

The authorities responded to the crash scene at around 3 p.m. Palo Verde Avenue, wherein a car with multiple occupants overturned.

The emergency rescuers freed the driver and passenger from their car using the jaws of life. Then, they rushed them to a nearby hospital’s trauma unit in critical condition. 

Later on, the authorities confirmed that the driver and passenger are now in stable condition.

Moreover, a video from a bystander show a wrecked white SUV with the front windshield broken completely off. The vehicle flipped on its side next to a gas station. 

The authorities are investigating the collision, however they said that the driver might have lost control in the intersection and the vehicle overturned.

Footage also shows Long Beach police, who arrived shortly after the LBFD, blocking off the area with yellow tape and investigating the incident.
