2 Hospitalized after Pioneer Car Accident on Highway 88
PIONEER, CA (July 14, 2020) – Last Sunday, a driver and a passenger suffered injuries in a single-car crash on Highway 88.
According to reports, an 18-year-old driver of a Nissan Sentra traveled west on Highway 88, west of Omo Ranch Road. As he drove, he let his vehicle went to the right roadway edge. Then, he overcorrected back to his left.
Due to this maneuver, his car started spinning counter-clockwise across the road and the south side of the road. Eventually, the vehicle fell down a steep embankment before crashing into a tree.
Afterward, the vehicle stopped on the south side of Highway 88.
Responders transported the driver and the passenger, both from Elverta to a hospital with major injuries.
