Driver Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on West Lilac Road [Bonsall, CA]

1 Dead and 2 Injured in Traffic Collision near Old Highway 395

BONSALL, CA (October 3, 2018) – A person was killed Wednesday evening and two others were injured following a two-vehicle crash on West Lilac Road. The identities of the people involved in this tragic collision were not immediately disclosed to the public.

According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the two vehicles came to a rest down an embankment near the road, shortly before 7:40 PM near Old Highway 395. Events that led up to the fatal collision were not immediately available.

One of the drivers suffered major traumatic injuries and was transported to the Palomar Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, two other people were also taken to Palomar with minor to moderate injuries. There is no update on their current medical condition.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
