Truck Driver Dead after Kelseyville Two-Car Crash on Highway 29
KELSEYVILLE, CA (November 12, 2019) – A 78‑year‑old driver died after a two-car crash on Highway 29 on Saturday, November 9.
According to Lake County CHP, the crash happened at 5:45 p.m. at Highway 29 and Main Street. A Kelseyville 1998 Toyota Tacoma pickup driver turned from Main Street into southbound traffic on the highway. Then it went into the path of a southbound 2005 Infiniti sedan, the CHP stated.
The force of the collision spun the pickup and it rotated off the shoulder. After that, it rolled over and landed on the passenger side. The impact partially ejected the driver on the passenger‑side window. The truck driver died after the incident. His identity was not released Monday pending notification of his loved ones.
48-year-old Infiniti driver April Flores, of Lakeport, was not injured. She remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
