52-year-old Man Dead in Running Springs Crash on Highway 330

 
RUNNING SPRINGS, CA (June 10, 2020) – Late Tuesday morning, a driver died in a truck accident on Highway 330 in Running Springs.
 
According to reports, a box truck driver crashed because of apparent brake failure.
 
The California Highway Patrol revealed that the incident occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on Highway 330 near Running Springs. The 52-year-old driver from La Mirada traveled south on Highway 330.
 
As the vehicle traveled south on Highway 330, the car experienced a brake failure and picked up speed. When it approached a sharp left curve in the roadway, the truck hit the guardrail, and rolled over down the mountainside.
 
Meanwhile, responders took the driver to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Unfortunately, just after 4:00 p.m., he succumbed to his injuries. Moreover, the police are withholding his identity until his family is notified.
 
After the incident, Highway 330 was unavailable through Tuesday evening while crews worked at the scene.
 
The police continue to investigate the crash.
 
Furthermore, the crews repaired 100 feet of guardrail. Also, Hazmat crews came to the crash scene to assist the cleanup.
