Car Crashed Through Home on South Rimpau Boulevard, Driver Dies
Hancock Park, CA (June 11, 2021) – On Thursday, a driver died in South Rimpau Boulevard crash.
Officers responded to the crash scene at about 11:30 p.m. at the 200 block area, wherein officers said this may be a case of street racing.
They located two vehicles when they arrived at the accident scene.
Officers said one of the vehicles lost control and struck a curb. Then, it crashed into a tree and garage, and finally caught fire.
The authorities said a nearby brush also caught on fire.
It took firefighters and other officers 15-20 minutes to knock down the fire and prevent the flames from reaching the home’s attic. The firefighters said it was difficult to fight the blaze with the vehicle in the home’s garage, which has been red-tagged.
Moreover, there was a little girl inside the room closest to where the vehicle crashed. Fortunately, the girl walked out of the room just before to the accident and was not hurt.
Officers are investigating the crash.
