Man Fatally Injured in Collision near Las Palmas Drive
FULLERTON, CA (June 25, 2018) – A man was killed Monday afternoon and another person was hospitalized following a head-on crash on North Harbor Boulevard.
The fatal collision took place at 3:17 PM in the 3700 block of Harbor Boulevard, between Las Palmas Drive and Imperial Highway. A silver 1996 GMC Jimmy was heading northbound on Harbor when it suddenly veered into the center divider and crossed over into southbound lanes. There, it collided head-on with a blue 2018 Toyota Tacoma.
The authorities arrived at the scene and rushed the Toyota driver to a trauma center with serious injuries. Despite the life-saving efforts of the responding medical personnel, the GMC driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of neither driver have been released, pending notification of family.
Affected areas were temporarily shut down for approximately six hours to make way for an investigation and to initiate clearing operations.
An investigation is ongoing to determine what might have caused the crash to happen.
