1 Dead in Contra Costa Auto Accident on Interstate 80 and Willow Avenue

 
CONTRA COSTA, CA (February 28, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a driver died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 and Willow Avenue.
 
The incident happened when a tow truck prepared to drive away with a disabled vehicle. Then, a Toyota Rav-4 struck the back of the truck on Interstate 80, east of Willow Avenue. After the crash, the Toyota driver was ejected.
 
Responders declared the Toyota Rav-4’s driver dead at the scene. According to reports, the driver failed to wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the tow truck occupants sustained minor injuries.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
